My name is Mia Garner and I have had a lifelong passion for singing. At the age of five, I was singing along to Beyoncé with a hairbrush as my microphone in front of the television. Ten years later, I was performing the same song in front of a packed audience at the Royal Albert Hall ... this time without the hairbrush. During that decade, I took vocal lessons to improve my technique, culminating in a Distinction on my Grade 8 vocals. Now, I'm a mentor for a local youth jazz orchestra, helping young singers and dancers bring their performances to the stage. Music is a powerful tool that can make people smile, dance, and sometimes even cry—hopefully, tears of joy!
